The Burl chair is made from ash sourced in the UK from fallen trees/tree surgeons. The materials are recycled using end-of-line fabrics stuffed with recycled toy stuffing and hand-stitched together by the artist. The upholstery emulates the form created by a tree when a burl is formed to protect and overcompensate for the damage done to the tree.
