Rianna Norbert-David is a storyteller, artist and maker based in north east London. Her work often reflects the diversity of her St.Lucian and London heritage, exploring themes of community, displacement, migration and the home. She mixes digital printing with screen printing, hand dyeing, hand drawing and painting, embroidery and sculpture techniques on natural fabrics such as wool and cotton along with upcycled materials to create work that holds a narrative – giving a voice to those whose stories are often disregarded as being unimportant or more obscure.
Rianna combines elements of her background with her faith and strong interest in wellbeing and sustainability to create Salut Sunday: a ‘self-care studio’. Salut Sunday offers wellbeing products and natural dyeing workshops.
Each item at Salut Sunday has been handpicked and responsibly sourced from UK-based businesses, including Salut Sunday originals. Rianna believes in supporting businesses with an ethical ethos and determination to do good. There is a mixture of reclaimed, natural, handmade and organic products to choose from.
