Life goes at jet speed. In this fast flow, we lose our connection to nature and forget that many things take time and effort. Knitting, however, provides a different temporality for us within this turmoil of life.
Knitting has always been a silent glue that binds generations of women by transferring stories and memories from hand to hand. It is a craft that requires patience. In Diko’s relationship as mother and daughter, knitting has been an excuse to find their own flow. This experience opened up a chance to explore, create and make mistakes together. Its temporality continues to invite them to be more conscious about their relationship with each other and with nature.
Diko is not a brand, but an experiment to spread this awareness through tokens of remembering the important things in life. Each of their creations is made from recyclable natural materials and hand-knitted with patience and joy.
